Duties: Manages chapter affairs on behalf of members and represents the chapter to IABC headquarters. The president works with the board to implement IABC Minnesota’s long-range plan and to set and follow an annual strategic plan based on current member needs.
Bio: Trace Ulland has 15 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing and media relations, working in retail, financial services and higher education. She’s worked in organizations as well as within an agency. Currently, she works at Target on the Canada Program Management Office team, helping the company launch its first international expansion. She has been a member of IABC since 2006 and previously has served as treasurer, VP of Finance and co-chair of the Bronze Quill committee.

Duties: Provides strategic and visionary focus to the chapter board. The president-elect serves as a link with and brings value to district and international activities for our chapter and succeeds to the office of president after serving one year as president-elect.
Bio: Jen currently manages marketing communications for Priority Integrated Marketing. Prior to this, Jen assisted senior management in developing a more strategic, differentiated marketing plan and worked to implement fresh tactics at Fidelity Bank. Jen was also a marketing project manager for U.S. Bank and held various roles in event and direct marketing at Mystic Lake Casino Hotel. She holds a bachelor’s in Marketing Communications and International Studies from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls.

Bio: Beth has spent her 23-year career building community through communications. A former K-12 summer school director, communications manager, regional trainer, marketing manager and community relations director, she is now marketing director at Schechter Dokken Kanter, a midsize CPA firm in downtown Minneapolis. While numbers are still not her strength, she enjoys hanging around those who crunch with fervor. She is a firm believer in the power of networks, and knows no better one than IABC

Duties: Keeps records of IABC Minnesota board meetings and assists in the management of the IABC Minnesota office on behalf of the board and members at large; assists in organizing the board orientation process and mid-year assessment.
Bio: Sue Yund has more than 20 years of experience in corporate communications in a variety of industries from retail to insurance and food. Sue has expertise in crisis communication, media relations, mergers and acquisitions, and project management. Currently, she works in Communications at Target where she develops and implements Pay & Benefits communications strategies for all team members. She has been a member of IABC since 1987.

Bio: Janey holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports Studies with a minor in Business Administration as well as a master's degree in Sports Management with an emphasis in Public Relations from the University of Iowa. Janey currently works in public relations, investor relations and corporate communications at Padilla Speer Beardsley. In her role Janey is responsible conducting media relations for many different clients, expanding brand recognition, and creating publicity. She also helps clients with their quarterly earning projects and communications, annual reports, and much more. Janey has eight years of experience in the communications industry and has been a member of IABC for nearly three years.

Bio: With more than 5 years of corporate communications experience, Jennifer is currently a communications consultant with Wells Fargo Insurance, supporting both internal and external communications.
Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from the University of North Dakota and received her master’s degree in communications from Iona College in New York. She also helps to coordinate Wells Fargo’s corporate IABC membership and IABC Minnesota’s participation in the Alphabet Bash.

Bio: Antoine has extensive media relations and project management experience. Currently, he is a spokesperson at Target where he serves on the crisis and critical issues team. In his previous public relations agency experience, Antoine was account manager for a number of clients and programs. He is currently enrolled in Carlson School of Management’s Part-Time MBA program.

Bio: Sue Kraus, ABC, is an independent consultant specializing in internal and strategic communication with more than 22 years of experience across a variety of industries and organizations. Her client base includes Fortune 500 companies Lockheed Martin and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans; educational institutions such as Concordia University, St. Paul; and a range of other companies and start-up organizations.Sue has volunteered extensively with IABC over the last 20 years, serving as director of communications, recognition and chairing many committees. She was president of IABC Minnesota from 2006-2008, during which time the chapter was named the 2008 International Chapter of the Year based on achievements during her first year as president. She recently took part in the IABC Evaluator’s Circle in San Francisco, reviewing exams and portfolios for accreditation candidates from around the world.

Bio: My first job was a newspaper carrier. Days spent trudging through the snow and melting in the blistering heat convinced me that working with words (as opposed to merely transporting them) was the way to go!
Today I am the Communications Manager for Liberty Diversified International, a family owned, privately held company based in New Hope, Minn. Between drafting communications plans, publishing a newsletter and handling media calls, each day presents new challenges. It's one of the reasons I love my job!
VP FINANCE
openDuties: Leads and provides direction to the chapter’s financial activities, oversees the annual budgeting process and ensures that we are following sound financial procedures to maintain the chapter’s financial health.
Duties: Serves as chief financial officer of the chapter; manages the financial planning for chapter and ensures fiscal responsibility and stewardship of member dollars in accordance with chapter bylaws and each year’s approved operating budget.

Bio: Susan Guck has more than 20 years of experience in communications, media relations and marketing. She currently runs her own consulting business, focused on helping organizations successfully communicate their strategies to employees and the public. She previously held senior-level leadership roles at RBC Financial Group and Dayton Hudson. Her passion for IABC dates back to 1988 and includes a stint as Minnesota chapter president in the early 1990s.
