Communications Portfolio

Email Chair:

IABC members recently ranked email the most useful communication tool to reach them and we’re looking for a volunteer with strong attention to detail to manage our chapter’s email communications. IABC Minnesota currently sends a monthly e-newsletter the first Thursday of the month and an events-only reminder the third Thursday of the month, in addition to several one-off event specific emails.

As Email Chair, you would:

  • manage IABC Minnesota’s email calendar as part of the chapter’s overall communications calendar to ensure timely, consistent, and engaging chapter emails
  • compile email content provided by other members of the Communications Portfolio (this role will not be expected to develop new content)
  • manage relationship with Nonprofit Solutions, provider of email services for IABC Minnesota
  • monitor email metrics monthly and report to Co-VPs of Communication portfolio for inclusion on communications dashboard

The Email Chair will report to the News Director and would be expected to participate in weekly 15-30 minute check-in conference calls with the Communications Portfolio (timing is flexible) and be able to respond to communications request through email during work hours.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to beef up their resume with “responsible for IABC Minnesota chapter email communications.”
