Mastermind Groups

Have you heard of our Masterminds program?

Sometimes considered cohort learning, peer coaching or professional/leadership roundtables, Mastermind groups were defined by Napoleon Hill, wealth expert and author of Think and Grow Rich, as “the coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people, who work toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony.”

IABC Minnesota’s Mastermind groups are comprised of 6 to 8 veteran communicators who come together to discuss work and career-related topics, and challenge one another to create and achieve goals, brainstorm ideas, and support each other in career and professional development. Participants can turn to fellow group members for guidance in career decisions, corporate dynamics, professional challenges and to receive career support that may not be available elsewhere. Meetings are generally held once a month, via conference call, face-to-face or a combination of both, for about 2 hours.

Regardless of your title and whether you are a one-person shop or one in a department of many, IABC Minnesota’s Mastermind groups are a great way to connect with peers that can help you navigate professional opportunities and challenges.

To Participate

Mastermind Groups are open to any IABC Minnesota member with 10 or more years of experience. If you’re interested in learning more or joining a Mastermind group, please contact Beth Johnson at bjohnson@sdkcpa.com or 612-332-9334 and/or Jenn Pollard at jennpollard26@gmail.com or 320-267-0384 for a copy of the guidelines.

IABC Minnesota will do its best to group people according to communications specialty and group preferences. However, the outcome will be dependent upon the number of registrants and compatibility. Once you’ve been placed in a group, you will be invited to register.
