Spring conference and annual gala
Join us at Target Field Thursday, May 13, to hear from a top-rated speaker, network with other professionals, recognize accomplishments and rejuvenate your passion for the field.
Spring Conference, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
During the day, you’ll be knocked out of the park by the two-part presentation, “Communicating Strategically in the Networked World,” by speaker Shel Holtz, ABC, IABC Fellow. An open-format networking lunch will allow you to take in the sights of Target Field, eat in the ballpark (weather permitting) and mingle with other professional communicators.
Holtz is known as a powerful presenter. In 2006, he was the top-ranked speaker out of more than 60 at the IABC international conference in Vancouver, British Columbia.
His May 13 presentation, designed just for IABC Minnesota, will include information you can use about:
- The state of online communication—how it’s driving audience behaviors
- Case studies that demonstrate how to align online efforts with business goals
- The blurring line between internal and external content
- Integrating online and offline communication
- Writing for the online environment
- And much more.
With more than 30 years of organizational communications experience, Holtz is the principal of Holtz Communication + Technology, which focuses on strategic communications. His clients have included Intel, General Mills, FedEx, The American Red Cross, the Internal Revenue Service, Allstate Insurance Company and CIGNA. His twice-weekly podcast, The Hobson & Holtz Report, covers the intersection of online communication and public relations.
