Educational Programs
IABC Minnesota offer a variety of professional development programs throughout the year. Topics are selected to help attendees become more effective business communicators, keep up-to-date on the latest communications issues, and provide strategic counsel to our organizations.
All educational events are open to nonmembers. And yes, they double as good networking opportunities!
Professional Development Programs
Led by a local communications professional, these programs are held quarterly, usually over breakfast or lunch.
Self-Employed Special Interest Group
These lunch sessions bring together those who are self-employed or who are thinking about becoming self-employed. Sessions feature either a guest speaker or panel discussion, and attendees are encouraged to share their thoughts and experiences to the discussions.
Workshops
IABC Minnesota partners with the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits to present a series of two-hour workshops each fall. The workshops are targeted toward nonprofit organizations, though the topics are often pertinent to small organizations or those with limited resources. So even if you don’t work for a nonprofit — you’re still encouraged to attend.
Conferences
Held in the spring and fall, IABC Minnesota’s conferences are designed to give a deeper perspective on current communications trends and issues. The conferences are strategically designed into a half-day format, so that attendees can have a rich professional development experience without the hassle of having to be away from the office for a full day. All conferences feature a keynote address, along with several breakout sessions to allow attendees to tailor the content to their personal needs.
